Nylon

Nylon is one of the original engineering thermoplastic materials boasting an ideal balance of strength and toughness.

Nylon is an excellent choice for both structural, bearing, and wear applications, and can deliver high performance as a replacement for a wide variety of materials from metal to rubber. Nylon is extremely easy to machine, and its light-weight makes it easier to handle and maintain than the metals it typically replaces. It is readily available in rod, plate and tube, and a variety of grades and types. It may be cast as a finished part and near net shapes.

Natural extruded and cast grades are FDA, USDA and 3A-Dairy compliant. Cast nylon possess all of the main characteristics of nylon. It works well when shorter cycles are desired versus larger machining processes. Extruded nylon is better suited for extended production cycles, and is typically preferred overcast when larger quantities of parts are being made.

Ease Of Use

Nylon is extremely easy to machine and easy to handle and maintain compared to metals.

Metal Replacement

Extruded nylon has great temperature and chemical properties making it an ideal replacement for metal in various applications.

Industry Compliant

Natural extruded and cast grades are FDA, USDA and 3A-Dairy compliant.
