Polycarbonate (Lexan)

LEXAN™ is one of the most commonly recognized polycarbonate sheets brands. Polymershapes is the leading North American distributor of LEXAN™.

Polycarbonate sheet, also known as PC, is a rigid, impact-resistant, nearly unbreakable material that is used in a wide range of applications. It is an amorphous thermoplastic material, with a temperature range of continuous use up to 265 ° F (129 ° C). LEXAN is one of the
most widely known brands on polycarbonate. Polymershapes is LEXAN ‘s
largest North American distributor.

Lexan or Polycarbonate sheets are used in see-through applications such as computer guards, windows (glazing), golf cart windshields and other recreational vehicles, and point-of – purchase screens.

Extreme Durability

Even though acrylic is lighter than glass, it is much stronger. Acrylic can be used in a broad temperature range and offers superior weather resistance.

Highly Transparent

Acrylic is able to maintain its optical clarity over the course of many years. As well, it does not yellow with age, proving important for applications such as plane windows or skylights.

Workable

With a working temperature of 100 degrees, you can mold, shape acrylic plastic into a variety of shapes. When cooled, acrylic holds its form, making it easy to shape large sheets.
