Ertalyte® is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline thermoplastic that is based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET-P).

The properties of Ertalyte ® make it particularly appropriate for the production of mechanical precision components that are capable of maintaining heavy loads and lasting wear conditions. Quadrant provides two variations of Eralyte. Ertalyte ® PET-P provides excellent resistance to chemical and abrasion. Its low absorption of moisture allows mechanical and electrical properties to be precisely machined to precise detail.

Ertalyte ® TX is a lubricated thermoplastic polyester that provides increased wear and inertia over nylon and acetal products for general use. Ertalyte ® TX offers a reduced wear rate and friction coefficient with an evenly distributed amount of solid lubricant than unmodified polyesters such as PET or PBT. Under both high pressure and speed conditions, Ertalyte ® TX excels.

FDA Compliant

Ertalyte is FDA compliant in a natural colour and also in black. Natural colour is also 3A-Dairy compliant making it excellent in food processing and food equipment industries.

Ertalyte offers one of the industries best dimensional stability helping with low wear resistance and low coefficient of friction.

The Better Choice

Ertalyte has a melting point higher than acetals and it retains more of its original strength than nylon or acetal.
